2019 was an epic one for LocalEyes. We grew our team, and took leaps and bounds toward further refining our goals, and elevating our service offering even higher. At risk of sounding cliche, we wanted to review the year, celebrate our wins, share our learning, and write down our goals for accountability in 2020.
We were fortunate to work with so many wonderful partners & clients in 2019. While they can’t all fit into a 60 second clip, we are pretty proud of this roundup of some of the highlights!
A really exciting piece for us was to expand to so many new cities. With our main offices already established in Colorado and California, and production teams throughout the western half of the US, we built on this to add talented crew to our team, in 5 more cities. We don’t take the ‘easy’ approach to bringing on staff here. In this age of remote working, and the gig economy, it’d be easy to find someone online and send them out on a shoot for us without having met. We don’t do that. We make a point to visit each city, meet with potential team members, get a feel for what it’s like to work together, and induct them into our way of doing things. This allows us to guarantee the highest quality production, customer service and process management, no matter where our clients are based.
Now at the beginning of 2020, we are excited to be operating in the following cities – more to come!

Also in 2019, we really refined our skills. We are lucky to work on such a variety of different projects from brand commercials to animated explainers and everything in between. Something we did a lot of this year were product videos – such as this example for NewAir – our regular client who has seen over 90% increase in sales thanks to producing monthly product videos with us for over a year now.
We also love to tell a good story and try to incorporate this technique where we can. Such as this example for SurveyMonkey Apply. The task here was to showcase the impact that SurveyMonkey Apply’s software has had, but from the emotionally moving point of view, of the residents of the Town of Breckenridge.
STRATEGY WHERE IT COUNTS
Our ethos for doing business, is strategy. To help our clients create a video strategy, stick to it, and measure against it, to ensure they see actual results. We’ve always been big on this mission, so in 2019 we really doubled down on this in a few ways:
- Offering Video Strategy Outlines
We now offer the service to build you a Video Strategy Outline. This involves us learning more about your brand, your goals, your marketing strategy as a whole, and then developing a set of detailed recommendations on video content, audiences to target, and distribution strategies. We have finessed exactly what this outline entails over the last 6 or so months, and so far the outlines have served as a great roadmap to plan out video marketing content, in a holistic & measurable manner. We can confidently say we’ll be your trusted video strategy partner, but we’re never bold enough to assume we know EVERYTHING. After all, the video & digital marketing landscape changes as much as the weather, so it’s been an enjoyable time to educate ourselves and further define our own internal strategy, to help better serve our clients last year, and as we continue into 2020.
Along with team growth, particularly spread out across multiple cities, comes team development. It’s important to us that we all get to know each other and spend time working – and playing – together, to build a tight-knit team. Every few months last year we got together in either the snowy Rocky Mountains, or Southern California, to work, to brainstorm, and to switch off and relax.

So, what are we doing to kick this new decade off with a bang? The answer is a lot of things, but it’s best summed up with the following:
- Further develop our strategic marketing offering to stay ahead of ever-changing video marketing landscape
- Bring our unique blend of strategic consulting & video production, to even more cities in the US
- Listen & learn with our clients as true partners.
- Win another Emmy (Did we mention we won an Emmy in 2019? – check out the award-winning work here)
